Birthdays, Birthdays and MORE Birthdays!

Well the end of May is a crazy birthday time in our family!! Its starts with Hailey's on May 25th, then Coleman's on May 29th, Grandma Smead (Richards Grandma) on May 30th and then Richards on June 1st! Talk about BIRTHDAYS! This is how we celebrated them this year!
On Hailey's birthday (which turned out also to be memorial day) we all headed to Mom and Dad's house at ten for a GREAT breakfast. On the way there Ethan was cracking us up. He loves to chew on things especially his shoes. But no need to worry he has yet to keep them on his feet long enough to use them.

Dad getting the grills going for breakfast and he also got them back going for an amazing lunch.

I love this face!

My Mom and Dad came up with a fun idea that on all of us kids birthdays we are going to scrapbook some pages for whose birthday it is. So we all brought pictures that we had and scrapbooked.

Amelia scrapbooking!

While we scrapbooked the kids got in the little pool. Ethan loves to drink the water!

The next birthday was Coleman's and we all went to my parents again for his party. He got a sweet grill!

On Richards birthday we started with breakfast in bed. Crepes, fruit, hashbrowns and juice. Yummy! I came up with such a fun idea for Richard for opening his gift. I wrapped a box full of candy and in the box was a clue to finding his REAL gift and I sent him on a scavenger hunt! Here are the clues I gave him.

Let's start your day by having fun
to find your birthday gift
Follow the clues around the house
and be so very swift

When you're feeling less than fresh
there's just one place you can go
To wash and get all squeaky clean
and scrub between each toe
(shower)

This box is mostly filled with things
that rarely bring you glee
Like bills and junk and other stuff
you'd rather never see
(mailbox and for some reason Richard had a really hard time with this one!)

The speed of life has made this furniture
a thing of old time fables
But there are times when families
still eat around this table
(kitchen table)

It seems our clothes just keep returning
to this same machine
At least they're better than the things
the ancients used to clean
(laundry room)

When couples are well-organized
they park the car in here
But otherwise it's full of junk
and not one inch is clear!
(garage)

This room is for the guests to sleep
when staying for the night
Let's hope the bed is comfortable
and sheets are clean and white!

And in the guest room he found his gift!
When he finally found it he was so excited.

Rock Band 2! And what started as movie marathon day turned into a Rock Band Marathon Day!

Ethan obviously enjoyed watching us play!
