There are other options

Well after a long consideration and praying we have decided to start feeding Ethan formula. I wanted to share this decision with everyone because I wanted everyone who is going through and has gone through this whole eczema thing with their kids to know that it can get better. Doctors are great but they are not always right.

Last weekend while staying with my Mom and Dad my sister Hailey offered to let Richard and I get some sleep and take Ethan for the night. I didn't have any milk pumped but I did have some Hypo-Allergenic formula, called Alimentum, that the doctor gave me that Ethan shouldn't be allergic to. So we let Hailey have him for the night and who knew that he would be just fine. Hailey and my Mom took him through the night and I got more sleep that night than in the past 15 month combined!! THANK YOU!!!!

The next morning we started noticing that Ethan's eczema had started to look better. Over the past couple days before, it had gotten so bad that he had open wounds on his face. So we took a leap of faith and started him on the formula. At first I was feeding Ethan formula and pumping but after just two days his face was healed. No open wounds and his whole demeanor was happier. I just have to say that although bad things can happen I believe that things happen for a reason. If Ethan would have never had that allergic reaction I never would have gotten Alimentum to try and Ethan would still have sores and itch all the time.

I am so grateful for the experiences that we have in our life's that teach us to grow and to learn. I am so grateful for parents, siblings and friends who have taught me that it's okay to not be right all the time and to try new things. I am especially grateful for Richard and Ethan. Because of them I want to be a better all around person. I look forward to this new year and the new changes that are coming with it.
Ethans sweet cleared up face.

Although Ethan's face is still dry, his sores are gone!
