My "Word"

I was reading on my cousins blogs about how they are picking a word for the year that they are going to focus on! I am not going to go into a whole lot of detail about it but if you want more info click on it, go to "Laura Davies" blog from my page and click on her archive page that reads, "My sister emailed me the blog address where she got" it is a couple down from the top and describes what I am talking about!
Well I couldn't think of a word but while trying to get Ethan to sleep today I heard the Carrie Underwood song called "So Small". The lyrics read...............

What you got if you ain't got love
the kind that you just want to give away
It's okay to open up
go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
you want to shut the world out and just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith

'Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else seem so small

It's so easy to get lost inside a problem that seems so big at the time
It's like a river that's so wide
It swallows you whole
While you sit around thinking about what you can't change
and worrying about all the wrong things
time's flying by
moving so fast
you better make it count 'cause you can't get it back

Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small

Hearing this song reminds me that there is so much to life. I put the lines in bold, that really stood out to me. In Alma 36:3 it says "... for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day."
My goal for this year is to find positive in all things because if I do I am putting my trust in the Lord that he knows what is best. It is not always easy and I know that at times it will be hard. But when it is, I will remember the big picture. I will remember that in the scheme of things our trials are small and the reward is great.

Right on girl! My word for this upcoming year is "endure". We all have to do it, it really depends on how we do it. Good luck...
