Easter is one of my favorite holidays! This year we were able to really teach Ethan about the true meaning of why we have Easter. We were skyping with my nephew Derek (who just turned 3) and he was telling Ethan the story of Jesus and the resurrection. He was saying the Jesus came out of the tomb and "killed all the bad guys". Not sure where that came from, but it will do for now!
Saturday we celebrated Easter with Richards family at the Provo City Easter Egg hunt. The hunt started late, so we didn't end up staying for it, but we did get to take part in all the other fun things there. Afterwards we went back to Richards parents for a mini Easter egg hunt and lunch. Later that evening we headed home and dyed eggs! We've never let Ethan dye them before and he was thrilled :)
I love Easter Sunday at church. It is always a time that I take a hard look at myself and what I can do to become more Christ like. After church my brother, and his family and my Grandma, came over for dinner and, yet another, Easter egg hunt! It was an eventful couple of days. Hope all is well! Lots of love :)
Richard and the boys, next to the petting zoo in Provo
Ethan coming down from the slide!
He has finally gotten brave enough to do things like this!
Luke is scared to death of any character, but Ethan soaked it all in!

Richard and I
Our little Nemo.... It was FREEZING that morning!!
Richards dad, Rob, was so willing to help the kids look for eggs!
Richard, Emmett, and his mom, Gloria
These two are quite the pair. I just love them to death
So anyone that has seen my facebook post knows that I LOVE TO MATCH MY BOYS!!! I couldnt resist with these shirts.... They say " I'm on my Brothers Team". So fitting right? On another note, I almost had a melt down at The Children's Place the other day, because Ethan is no longer in the little boy section. I cant believe he is growing up to fast.
Most of you know Ethan has severe food allergies. I have been torn about wither or not to let him dye eggs because even the touch of the shell to his skin breaks him out in massive hives. This year I have vowed to not let his allergies hold him back, hence my creative idea. I couldn't find plastic gloves small enough for his hands SOOO I improvised. We put his hands in ziploc bags and then taped them at the end to keep them on. There were obviously so cons (the eggs were kinda hard to hold and he had to be more careful not to drop them) but the pros for sure outweighed ANY of the cons. As you can tell by the look on his face, he had a blast!
His favorite egg was a yucky brown one. Yes, he truly is a Smead Boy.
Easter morning the Easter bunny came!
Luke wouldn't get in the picture, so it's Issac and Brooke ( my brothers kids) and Ethan!
Searching for Eggs
More searching! Brooke had it down. Luke, on the other hand, found and egg and opened it to each the candy!
I love this pic!
After the hunt!
And last, but not least, Grandma Audrey with Emmett!
