Christmas Time!!!

This year Christmas was different than any year we have ever had. To start off we have a little baby and also we spent Christmas Eve at My Mom and Dad's house so we could spend Christmas day with them! We are so glad we did choose to stay there because on Christmas Eve and Christmas we got pounded with a ton of snow and were not able to even leave to go anywhere! We were so happy we got to spend the holiday with them and are even more happy that they are so CLOSE! I took lots of pictures seeing as it was Ethan's first Christmas so here are just a "few" of them!

This was on Christmas! Adrianne and Steve came up and their truck got stuck!

Richard got Ethan this cute little hat. Amelia stuck paper in it so it stood straight up!

Richard, Ethan and I on Christmas Eve

It's a tradition in our family to open one present on Christmas Eve and its always PJ's. Ethan liked the paper more than his PJ's though!

Ethan in his new Pajamas

Ethan's eczema has got pretty bad over this last week but he is a trooper and was such an angel!

Dad said this describes Christmas very well! HAHAHA

We were TIRED. Amelia and Hailey woke us up at 5:00 to see Santa's presents and open gifts.

Hailey got a Hope Chest

And Amelia got a Wii

Ethan has started sitting up on his own and LOVED shredding the paper off the gifts.

Richard loves his camcorder

Dad got a new Little Giant Ladder!

'Tis the Season

It has been 4 years since I have spent Christmas with my family and I am so excited to spend time with them this year! It is so fun to have them close by! On Sunday all of us kids and our families went over to Mom and Dad's for dinner, tree decorating and light seeing.
In primary when we were little we made Christmas Ornaments with our pictures on them! So to decorate the tree in my parents basement we used these and some other fun decorations. The tree turned out really cute!! Afterwards we went to Temple Square to look at the lights. I can't wait for Christmas!

Here is the TREE!

Adrianne was hilarious! She got on Steve's back and said she was riding him because she was baring a child!!

Ethan likes to scare us

Well this last weekend was one of the most trying times we've been through! After what Ethan went through when he was born I didn't think that it was possible for anything to go more wrong. Boy does that just tell you how naive I am. Obviously I am a new mom!

Sunday we went to Kyson's blessing, who is Richard nephew. Afterwards they had family and friends over for some lunch. I had run out of breast milk for Ethan and since he had had formula in the hospital I didn't think twice about giving him some there. Within minutes of giving Ethan the formula I noticed he was choking but it was nothing abnormal for Ethan who CHUGS bottles down. He didn't stop choking though and I realized he was actually throwing up. To make a long story short we rushed Ethan to the ER which was a couple minutes away and they diagnosed him with having a severe allergic reaction. He had hives covering his whole body and his lips were super swollen! It was so sad!

Luckily there were great nurses and doctors on duty and after two shots of epinephrine, an iv with fluids, two rounds of benadryl, an oxygen mask with albuterol and 5 hours later, Ethan was sent home! We now have to carry around a Epi Pen in case it happens again! Later this month he is scheduled to have his allergies tested. After about 4 hours and Ethan looking A LOT better the ER doctor had me take some pictures to show Ethans pediatrician and also the allergist. Thank goodness he had me take pictures at the end because these are bareable to look at! So here are some of the after effects of the formula!

The day started off nice! Gloria, Richards Mom, Richard, Ethan and Rob, Richards Dad

This one I took on my phone and sent it to my email! I took this one right when we got to the hospital!

His hives on his legs finally started getting better after the second helping of epinephrine!

Richard is such a great dad! He sat next to Ethan holding his hand the whole time.

They wouldn't let us leave until his hives were all gone!

Ethans First SNOW DAY!!!

So it snowed today in Tooele......... It was our first snow since we moved here and since Ethan was born. We decided to get Ethan all "snow appropriate" and take him outside for his first snow day. The funny thing is that only lasted maybe 5 minutes before both Ethan and I were COLD! So we bagged the snow day idea and just took some pictures.

I got Ethans winter coat out thinking he was going to look so cute and be so warm in it! I soon realized its a 6-12 month and he DOESN'T fit in it at all! We are going to buy him another one this week.

Richard cleaned off the steps for us. I thought we'd end up with a lot more than we had.

Richard wanted to take him sleding...... We settled for a picture on the sled

Polar Express

Our friend Cathy invited us to go to this train ride that some local people in Lindon put on called the Polar Express. It is such a neat little ride and if anyone gets the opportunity to go you should. It's for adults mainly to take there kids and learn about Santa, Jesus Christ and the true meaning of Christmas, while riding on a train. Ethan , Richard and I had so much fun!
Richard and Ethan

As we arrived at the house they had the movie Polar Express playing in their garage while you waited to get on the train.

The cute cousins, Ethan , Isaac and Hannah

Sorry this is dark but I wanted you guys to be able to see the train! Its really little.

Ethan and Daddy
Ethan was so happy to sit on Santas lap

Hannah on the other hand was a little scared. Lucky for us Ethan doesnt know to be scared yet!

In the middle of the train ride they asked everyone to get off and go visit Santa. He told us the story of the candy cane and if you haven't ever heard it here is the link to the story. http://www.kidtokid.org/candycanestory.html

There was also an Elf there to help Santa!

Cathy and Hannah

I guess I couldn't get enough of Richard and Ethan. Can you tell who I love?

Along the second half of the train ride there were pictures of Christs life. Along with the pictures they played peaceful Christmas music.

I love the lights around the pictures!

Amelia's Choir Concert

Ethan and I drove over to Mom and Dads last Wednesday for Amelias choir concert. Although in that large of a group it was hard to hear Amelias voice I know she did great! Here are a couple pictures.
Amelia before the concert! She looked very cute!

Amelia and her friend Wesley, who is in choir with her.

You can kinda see her!! She is right next to the boy on the right!
