Life at the Smeads

I haven't posted pictures of the boys lately and I finally uploaded some to the computer so I thought I would post them!

For some reason this pregnancy had made me fall even more in love with my sweet boys. When I was pregnant with Luke, I lost all my patience with Ethan. I dont know exactly why, but I have found with this pregnancy I am learning to be much much more patient. Now I am not saying I am patient ALL the time, but it seems like I tend to be more than normal.

These boys are the best of friends. Ethan cant handle Luke being sad and will dance around infront of him to make him laugh. Ha always wants to hold him or hug him or kiss him and when Luke wakes up from his nap he yells in his sweet HIGH voice " Luke's awake!! He's cute mommy". I hope they always stay this way!

The only way I can get Ethan to smile for the camera is to say " Ethan dont you dare smile" haha

Luke is such a happy kid. I am so so blessed!

Honestly I couldn't say it enough but these two couldnt live without each other!

My NEW Stroller!!!

Oh my goodness! This week I got a new double stroller and I can't even tell you how excited I am about it. Anyone that was with me on my last shopping trip to the mall found out how much I needed a double stroller. Ethan won' t just "walk by my side" like some parents suggest so I have to pretty much have 2 strollers anywhere I go. Well seeing as how I am only one person that doesn't really work!! After researching a ton we finally decided to get the Option Tandem Double Stroller By Kolcraft. I am in love.

Actually to be honest I think Ethan may have been more excited than I was! We got home late on the night we bought it and the whole next day Ethan kept asking me " build my new stroller mom??" Finally after getting Luke down for a nap, we set up our stroller. Ethan wanted to be pushed around in it and after 10 mins of pushing him around the house (since Luke was sleeping we couldn't go for a walk) I finally told him he could play in his seat but I was not going to push him around anymore!!! He was not impressed and stayed in it, buckled might I ad, for another 20 mins. Yesterday Richard and I took the boys for a walk in it, and it couldn't have been easier.

I love this stroller for MANY MANY reasons, but the main one is that it is SO versatile. For now I can put the car seat in the back and Ethan can ride in the front, but soon Luke can sit in a seat and Ethan can sit in a seat. They can face each other, or the back one can face me! Even better when the next one comes, The car seat can go in the back and Luke or Ethan can go in the front. It also has amazing storage underneath and is so easy to turn and maneuver! Well I guess that's enough about my new found love!!

I thought since its Valentines tomorrow I would talk about my one TRUE love. Richard. We have been through so much together over the past 6 years and I wouldn't trade any of it. Some days are hard and some days are easy but I have found that the Easy Days and Fun Days are what get us through the hard ones. He is my rock. I can tell him anything and know that he has my back 100%. He knows me and loves me regaurdless of my faults. I am so grateful for him and the life we share together. Thanks Babe, I love you.

Ethan

So this pretty much sums up my Ethan. He cracks me up pretty much every day. From playing pretend pirates and finding pretend treasures ( the treasure chest always has candy canes and suckers his two favorite treats) to sitting on the couch cuddling with me. He knows how to make me go through a sea of emotions in 5 seconds or less. I sure do love him.

Ethan is a tiny little kid but at his check up today I was thrilled to find that ha has gained 2 lbs!!! He has been 24lbs since his 18 month check up and now he is 26 lbs!! Now I know that 2lbs doesn't seem like a lot BUT he wasn't even on the "percentile charts" at the doctors office and now he is a the 5th percentile for his weight. Luke also got a check up today and he weighs 17.9lbs. Oh goodness. These two kill me!
